by Carol BareutherOld Port Cove Marina in North Palm Beach, Florida has completed $7 million in renovations to its North Marina. The newly renovated marina can now accommodate approximately 55 vessels from 50-foot to 190-foot mega-yachts. The new marina also can accommodate yacht tenders from 20- to 30-foot.
Renovations included replacement of all docks, piers and pilings with beautiful new state-of-the-art hard wood decked floating docks, and new power pedestals with 100 amp single and 3 phase electric, cable, phone, WIFI, and the convenience of in-slip pump-out. In addition, the marina has a first-class fire fighting system, new lighting and lushly landscaped bulkheads and parking area.
The final phase of Old Port Cove Holdings, Inc. facilities-wide renovation will begin with improvements to Old Port Cove’s South Marina this spring. The renovations will result in a marina two-and-a-half times larger than the newly renovated North Marina and will accommodate vessels from 45-foot to 190-foot in length. Also planned are a new fuel dock, state-of-the-art fueling equipment, redesigned upland areas for parking and new landscaping. Renovations on the South Marina are anticipated to be completed in the fall of 2008.
