St. Lucian-born chef and manager, Carl Beviere, is the latest addition to Discovery at Marigot Bay's culinary team. Beviere, who comes to the resort after extensive experience with the Sandals chain throughout the Caribbean and stints at a number of top British establishments, took up the position of Resident Manager in charge of Food and Beverage in September. "We want our guests to feel at home whether dining casually at the Hurricane Hole Bar or more formally at The Boudreau," Beviere says. "We have some fantastic locations on property—the treehouse and the dockside Palm Pavilion included—which can be used for intimate dinners, romantic weddings, or fun-filled corporate events all tailored and customized to the needs of our clients. Discovery has also introduced special events and dinners. For example, a special Food & Rum Festival dinner featuring dishes by Oprah Winfrey's personal chef, Art Smith, was held in November.
