South Florida based Yacht Chandlers expanded their presence greatly throughout the Caribbean with their recently announced working partnership with the Caribbean chandleries of Budget Marine. Yacht Chandlers’ yacht clients will now be able to shop at any of the participating Budget Marine locations throughout the Caribbean and not only use their account BUT have access to the extensive large yacht parts inventory and specialized provisioning.

The 2009 Show has a combined pavilion display of more than 8800sqm, a 22 per cent increase from 2008. The Super Yacht pavilion has almost doubled in size and will feature glass walls on two sides, presenting a spectacular view to the marina.

A team of Superyacht Captains have announced their intention to participate in the newly formed RORC Caribbean 600 Race, sailing on Claude Theiler’s Orma 60 Trimaran “Region Guadeloupe”. Their aim is to set a course record on the well-known vintage Trimaran that won the Route du Rhum, originally as “Primagaz”.

After a successful Season Opening on the 20th of December 2009, it has been quite busy at Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina in Grenada. So far for the season twenty super yachts of one hundred feet or over have visited and another fifteen are expected to visit for the rest of January alone.
