Platypus Marine, Inc., working out of their new satellite facility on Commodore Way in Seattle, has found a better way to service their customers in the Puget Sound marinas. From Anacortes to Olympia, Platypus Marine, Inc. is accommodating captains and owners at dockside. Captain Charlie Crane, Director Sales & Marketing, says: “There’s a lot of repairs and custom work we can do without bringing the boat to our yard and hauling it out. We wanted to bring our expertise to customers for quick delivery of any service we could provide them. Since we have a full service shipyard with a long tenured, highly skilled and qualified workforce, it only made sense to broaden our scope of how we want to make our expertise accessible to the marine market. The Seattle satellite shop was a perfect solution to have ready-to-go tools and supplies for effective and speedy mobilization of projects.” Alaska has been Platypus Marine, Inc.’s primary destination for mobile services. They’ve been providing services to the commercial fishing fleets for over eight years and understand the need to pick up and go when the customer calls. If there’s any way the work can be accomplished at the customer’s site, Platypus Marine, Inc. puts forth the effort to make it happen. Working locally along the Puget Sound is just another way to meet the demand for immediate assistance and project management customers have learned to trust. You’ll be seeing more of their runners, tools in hand, running the docks with the manifesto to provide their customers with what they expect, the best service with the best value at the right time.
